We strive to stay away from individual politics. There are times, however, when issues such as subprime are politicized by those who think they know what is best. We reported a few days ago on Hillary Clinton’s latest idea. Our article – Clinton’s desire to protect lenders is questioned – also drew immediate fire from the Obama campaign.
Stating exactly what we were thinking when we wrote our article which questioning Clinton’s logic, Obama Campaign Manager David Plouffe said, “If we’re really going to crack down on the practices that caused the credit and housing crises, we’re going to need a leader who doesn’t owe those industries any favors.”
Senator Clinton received more from major subprime companies than Senator Obama and probable Republican nominee John McCain.
